The pathway is for experienced close protection officers. Nothing entry-level is taught. Entry to the Core Tier needs at least two years' operational close protection experience, or the occupational close protection qualification, or prior SAPS VIP or Presidential Protection service, or SANDF protection service.

I will not copy, photograph, record, forward, post or share it, and I understand my copies are marked with my name. I agree to be added, once accepted, to the Excalibur Legacy Programme announcement community on WhatsApp, where only the programme posts. Other learners do not see my number there. Messages to me personally come from the programme number. I will follow the programme's safety rule at all times, including the stop word "STOP STOP STOP", which ends all action immediately, and every instruction of the facilitators and the medical safety officer. I understand that the Protection Leadership Pathway is a non-accredited professional development programme owned by VanderbylSystems (Pty) Ltd. It is not registered on the National Qualifications Framework, carries no SAQA credits, and is not a qualification approved by PSIRA or the QCTO.

Privacy notice (POPIA). VanderbylSystems (Pty) Ltd is the responsible party. We collect only what we need to assess your application and deliver the programme. Your information and documents are stored on our South African hosting, are not sold or shared for marketing, and are seen only by programme staff, the delivering institution and, for assessment and moderation, the examiners and moderators. Certificate records are kept for as long as your certificate can be verified; other application records are deleted within 12 months of the end of your cohort if you do not enrol. You may ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to its processing, by contacting The Information Officer, VanderbylSystems (Pty) Ltd at info@vanderbylsystems.com. You may also complain to the Information Regulator.
